The Gypsy and I decided to take another trip to the caverns yesterday just to take a walk and see the Bats leave the cave. It seems the cave is shared by 2 different birds, (I'm not sure the bat qualifies as a bird) the Cave Swallow and the Mexican Freetail Bat. Both are migratory. After touring the cave again, it was time to go see the bats fly. We were lucky, it seems as though the bats are due to migrate to Mexico at any time, and the rangers were not sure whether they had left yet or not. LUCKY, the bats began to leave the cave at 5:30 pm, and leave and leave. We watched a steady stream of bats leaving the cave for 1 hour. I didn't know there were that many bats in the world. The ranger said they will eat an average of 2 and 1/2 tons of insects each night. How many insects are there? Obviously, cheers for the bats.
Today it was off to the Famous Roswell New Mexico, the place where an Alien flying Saucer crashed in 1947, that happens to be the year I was brought into this world. Could be a connection. As the picture shows this is proof of the aliens.
Getting outa here tomorrow, heading to Texas again for fuel and then to Arizona.
SEE YA
