Today was a big day in Dallas. It all started with a trip to "Dealey Plaza", Infamous for the assassination of a US President, John F. Kennedy. It was kinda ere as you stood in the same area where a tragic event in our recent history took place. The corner window on the 6th floor of the Texas Book Depository started the event that most of remember to this day. The 6th floor has been turned into a Museum, "The 6th floor Museum". The Museum is well done and very informative. Did Oswald do it? Was he alone? To some that question is still not answered. There certainly are some questions, and who knows for sure. The pictures posted are of the Book Depository, and the famous Grassy Knoll.
Now to the famous Texas State Fair. Now this was one large fair. Everything there was oversize, and if it wasn't oversized it was fried. You name it, it was offered FRIED. The Gypsy and I stopped for lunch at the fair. The Gypsy got a ham sandwich, at least half of a ham. I got a foot long hot dog that was about 16"s long. I told the guy this is a little big he said you must be from outa state, everything here is a little oversize. A 16" hotdog requires a drink and of course the drink was a little larger than a Big Glup. Once again the guy said this is Texas, everything here is oversize. Now as you can imagine I need the little boys room. The guy says go down that hall and turn left, you can't miss it. Ok, down the hall I went and turned left, it was a little dark and I stumbled and fell into a indoor swimming pool. The guy who sent me down the hall seen me turn to soon and was running to tell me I had made the wrong turn. When he opened the door I started yelling "Don't flush it, Don't flush it". Ok, Ok. No doubt this is a large Fair, we have been walking for hours it seems, our question was how are we going to find our way out'a this place, so we just keep walking, certainly could have used the GPS. Finally, an exit sign. Without a doubt we had a great day. Tomorrow the Gypsy flies to Salt Lake City to see our Granddaughter dedicated at church. Hopefully I will survive until she returns. See Ya, The Captain and his Gypsy.
