Camp Zip and Miami

     Been in Miami a week now and have hardly scratched the surface, but, I have 3 days left. Camp Zipay is a once in a life time experience complete with full hook ups and amenities too  many to list. Here's one though, Saturday night is open to friends around the lake, no invitation needed, just show up, the front door is unlocked or just ride your converted pontoon boat over and someone will help you dock it on the beach. Can you play the guitar? Forgot to bring it. No worry the camp host here has several. Back to the converted pontoon boat. First you get an small old pontoon boat, strip it down to a deck and a couple of pontoons. Then some old carpet, maybe an abandoned couch, a fire pit and oh yeh a picnic table with umbrella would look nice and wa la, you got yourself a lake classic.
And then there is the evening gathering for food, can you guess what the theme was for this meal?

   Now lets talk MIAMI. How do you describe Miami, its people and its culture. Different doesn't even begin to describe any thing here. Lets start with stop signs and traffic lights. The lights are for decorating where streets come together and stop signs don't really mean stop, just show your tail lights, sometimes. If you come to a complete stop at a stop sign and a native to the community is behind you, you can expect to hear a horn. Cuba has a huge influence here, Language, food and drink, cigars and attitude. Boats, everyone here has a boat or use to have a boat or planning to get a boat. Just because you don't have a place to park your boat means nothing, Boats can be stacked on shelving units and brought down when you need it. Then there's the beach houses. House? That's probably not the right word. Lets say small mansion with guest quarters to OoooooMmmGgggg. Took a boat cruise around the islands of the Miami landscape and the guide was explaining who lived there and what it would cost you to live there. Where does all this money come from. We could pay off the US National debt right here in Miami. The rich a famous all call Miami home for at least part of the year. From Beckem to P Dity and then there's Dr. Viagra. talk about big, his mansion was the biggest.  Oh, just in case you plan on coming here, get someone to drive you. Enjoy the pictures.
