"They Lived"

Ok, so, I'm sure you've seen the commercial with the car that's been in a horrible accident and someone says "they lived". Well this time the comment should say "she lived". However, I'm sure the day after she was not sure that living was all it was cracked up to be, the pain and all. I'm sure you remember Sammy the killer. Well, it's derby time again and the derby car, such as it is, is put on the trailer and hauled to another showdown. Best car, best driver and if you survive you get a little money to help pay for the pain pills you will need tomorrow. So, it happened. This derby is in the record books, and Sammy the killer comes home with $500 big ones. That should pay for the pills, the fuel to get her there and the racing fuel ( this racing fuel is infused with watermelon scent, it's a girl thing ya know). Now, that's the good news. Bad news, the derby car is FINISHED. What can be salvaged? not much. Well, if your a derby family there's always salvage. Like for instance the front bumper. Take a look at the pictures of that so called salvageable bumper. It's said that bumper is worth $150, are you kidding me. I'd be embarrassed to take it to the scrap dealer. However what do I know about derby car salvage, nothing obviously. So, we salvage a questionable front bumper, a mean sounding engine, and somewhere underneath this pile is a rear end that someone is proud of and then of course the drivers seat. I think that drivers seat has a little sentimental value more than salvageable value. If you look at the car from the drivers side you would say, "It don't look all that bad", that's because it's against the rules to smash into the drivers compartment. Now look at the other side, yea, that's the target side, which appears everyone was on target. Good luck Sammy the killer, get another car and get back in there, and don't loose the fine racing chair.
