Well, I've been waiting for something really big and exciting to happen so I could write a new blog entry. To tell you the truth there has been a lot going on since the last entry but today, It was a
sue-nam-e that made the headlines. Ok, so lets talk sue-nam-e. It seems as though a Beaver as in 4 leged furry creature or maybe just a land slide had clogged a 5 ft. dia. drain pipe that crosses under hwy. 40. This culvert feeds runoff water thru the camp ground and into the lake. It seeems as though someone noticed the water wasn't running anymore and did a little investigation and low and behold a lake had formed on the other side and was growing larger by the day. So some special NUT was called in to find out why. After this nut climbed approx. 900 ft. through this pipe he decides he needs to crawl back and set some explosives. Today, the blockage was cleared and the small lake drained like a toilet. The pictures below are before and after.
Ok, what else has happened. Lets see, The Star Ship broke down 4 miles from our summer camp site. A heater hose broke and began to drain coolant thus Over Heating became an issue. Thank goodness for the safety feature built into the engine. As the engine began to overheat the computer shut the motor down to idle to allow me to get to the side of the road. Everything is fixed and no harm done.
The gypsy and I baby sat the grand kids this last weekend. What a lot of fun. So glad I'm a grandpa, little ones are made for the young. As the song says "I ain't as good as I once was but I'm as good once, as I ever was".
Ok, what else. The Weather. June this year ain't nothing like June last year. Last year in June it was sill snowing, this year, 70 and 80 deg. however not today. Today 60's, however next week its back to the 70's. We also changed camp sites this year. Check out the view "out our back door".
Enjoy the pictures folks.
