Frustration, stress, and finally relaxatioon
To start this new entry I contemplated several titles, the Gypsy wouldn't let me use any of them, all were out of frustration. You see, I just traveled thru Los Angles, that should say enough. Living in southern Cal for, lets say all my life I swore I would never drive even a car thru LA. Well, I ended up driving a 36 foot motor home thru were I just said I would never drive. Somebody please tell gov. Brown to spend some money on Interstate 5. With out a doubt this road needs to be nominated for worst road in California if not the country. This is coming from someone who has traveled many roads. We left San Diego on Monday the 30th and at a time when we felt the traffic would be at optimum for the least congestion. Realilty is there just may be no such thing. OK, lets let the frustration rest. We arrived in Lake Casatas just a little later than anticipated, but we did arrive. What a great stop. If it were not for the fact that you have to travel thru LA I would definetly return, what a great place to relax. A few photos show just a little of the area. Then it is on to Paso Robles. OK, now let me try and describe my first impression of Paso Robles, Amaaaaaaaaazing. If you are looking for a great, and I mean a great wine country tour, forget Temecula, forget Napa, and forget Sanoma. Judge Paso Roble on its entire package, senery, hospitality, and culture, and, oh, did I mention the wine. Amaaaaaaaazing. Ok, enough about Paso Roble for now. Took a short trip to the coast to see the Elephant seals, again, Amaaaaaaazing, These things get to be as big as an SUV, see the photos. Ok, thats entry #1 and I've only been here 2 days, hang on, there is more to come in the next couple of days. See Ya, The Captain and his Gypsy.
