Big day, we have left the Salt Lake Valley. I must admit, it was a little tough leaving the grand kids, oh yea, and their parents. (Jeremy and Grace) When we left on Sunday afternoon, the weather was the pits. Rain, Wind, and the threat of snow. After a while of driving in that mess we decided to rely on our old standby, Wallmart. Pulled into the walmart at Payson, spent the night and up and on our way. Didn't make it to far though, in fact just down the road to Nephi. Pulled into the campsite, unhooked the shuttle craft and took off for the big town of Delta, famous for u-dig fossels. The plan was to travel to Delta, Utah, and go to a rock quarry famous for Trolibite (small bug) fossels. When you get there they give ($28.00 for 2 hours) you a hammer and a bucket and point you to the quarry, and away you go. What they don't tell you is 33 miles outside of town and then down a rock, shale, gravel road for another 22 miles. Remember it rained all night last night! A little more research (isn't the internet great?) and it looks like getting a flat tire on this road is a real possibility. OK, I may not have a big degree from some fancy college or university but God did bless me with just enough common sence to question this decission. Hey Gypsy, look over there, is that a rock, gem and fossel shop? Amaaaazing, they have just what we were going to be looking for. Trolibites and more. For just a little bit of money he says, I can have what I was looking for without getting muddy, or risking a flat tire and save a lot of gas. OK, lets see what you got. In just a little time we are leaving the shop, with fossels. What a great time we had, looking for fossels. Tomorrow we're on the road again and headed for Reno. Reno is about 500 miles down the road, so I'm sure we will stop somewhere along the way.
So from the bridge of the Starship, the Captain and his Gypsy say, SEE YA
