The gypsy and I t00k off on another excursion. This time to "Lower Calf Creek Falls". Starting at the trail head (which was about a 1/4 mile from the parking lot) the hike is 3 miles. Now at first thought, that ain't too bad. But wait, 2/3 of the trip is in sand. It was kind of like walking up hill at the beach. 3 miles took us 1 1/2 hours. Now the reward was a beautiful waterfall with green pool at the bottom. An amazing place. Now for some reason, walking out took less time, about 1 hr. and 20 minutes. Maybe going downhill and in the shade made a difference. Tomorrow is Monday and designated "A day of Rest", laundry, and general cleanup will be worked into the Gypsy's "Day of Rest". The next stop for the Starship "Escape", Moab, Utah.
