We made it to Moab. As we drove into Moab I thought maybe we should top off the fuel tank on the Starship. $4.77 per gal for diesel. Almost cut off traffic trying to get in there. Now who would have thought I would be getting such a deal. DEAL, Diesel is a byproduct of refining for gas, and gasoline is less than that, in fact I hear in Grand Junction its less than $4.00, ok its $3.99, but thats less than 4. Well, I guess that the cost of adventure. As fuel continues to go up I continue to look and revise my budget. Well here's the new plan. We were on our way to the kids house in Salt Lake City, seems as though I didn't finish the base board I started last year. So the plan was to stop off there for a couple of weeks (I'm pretty slow) and take care of unfinished business. We just found out there is a Camp Host job open at the Jordanelle Utah State Park, which overlooks a huge lake, so I called and sure enough they are looking for someone. So they are sending me an application that should arrive today. Now it seems as though the Gypsy's Uncle has something to do with HR for the Parks system, so that may be very benificial. Now if I get this job its 20 hrs a week. Now thats my kind of job. What do I have to do you say. I think all I have to do is check campers in and out and answer questions, and everbody knows I got answers, right and wrong ones. Pay? free camping. Free Camping means the Starship will be docked. NO camping fees, NO Diesel fees, almost like living free. Well enough of that. As you can see from the photos, we hiked all over "Arches National Park", Wed. and Thursday. Today we are headed to "Canyon Lands National Park" and then to "Dead Horse, Utah State Park". Stay tuned there will be more to follow, as the Adventure continues.
