Well as you can see from the Photos the Gypsy and I ventured deep into the bowels of the earth. Going in was quite fun, getting out was a different story. The altitude here is above 8k feet. So lets see if we can asses the situation. 8k in altitude, a little over the hill in age, way over the hill in weight, and we come from living at or near sea level. As you can see or know we ain't in the best of condition for strolling into the bowels of the earth, cause eventually you are going to want to return. The hike was magnificiant, and fortunately the weather was cool. Once you reach the bottom its a great stroll through the pines, looking up at all the hoodos and formations on the rim. The it started so gradual up up up and up. Pretty soon the up was UP UP UP. Had to stop several times for the Gypsy of course as we went along. Now there were several times we stopped because I thought I saw God. I thought please let me get out of here and I promise I will be a good boy. After seeing God a couple of more times we made it out. I sat on the edge of the canyon and thought, Wheee, we cheated death once again. So from the outer reaches of planet Earth, the Gypsy and I say, SEE YA
