THE BIG DITCH

I titled this entry as "The Big Ditch", but after viewing the pictures I posted it should have been "Life on the Edge, Gypsy style". The pictures of Karen on the edge are real, I mean one false move and I would have been without a navagator. Now the pictures with me are a little deceiving. Its all about camera angles. Believe me, behind me is plenty of safety. As we walked the "Rim Path" there were signs everywhere "DO NOT GET OFF THE PAVED PATH". Look at the pictures, do you see any paved paths. NO, The Gypsy is normally very law abiding, but today, there seem to be no law, just common sence and we, or she ignored that also. But as you can see we cheated death once again, everyone is safe and sound and back on the Starship. Without a doubt the Grand Canyon is a sight to see. The views are unbelivable. One thing on the Canyon stood out thought was the amount of visitors to the Grand Canyon. I didn't think there would be that many people there, however, I was wrong. Another thing that stood out was the number of foreign visitors. I would guess from the amount of foreign languages I heard that the visitor ratio was, for every english speaking vistor there was 4 that was non english. I heard a lot of French and German, Japanese, and Philipino. I guess with the Euro gaining in value, America is a great place to visit, and they all were spending money, I'm sure the economy loves it.
We had our first visitor to the Starship this weekend, Our youngest son Jason came up from Phoenix. He had never seen the Canyon and took advantage of free room and board. This made the day for the Gypsy since it was Mother day this weekend. Well from the deck of the Starship, SEE YA
