IT'S WAR

This Post is for my Grandchildren.

Here it is Sunday, the 24th of September and the war I have been predicting is here in full sight. Years ago I told a friend that the U. S. was going to experience a War, a Civil War, Revolution, what ever. The war would not be with another country or entity but amongst ourselves. Brother against brother, neighbor against neighbor and families divided. The founders of this great nation knew that our biggest enemy would be government itself and tried to write into the constitution elements of protection. If you for just a moment would step back with open eyes you could see that government, the very government we all need is tearing our nation apart. Professional politicians have turned us against each other while at days end they go and have diner together is some fancy posh dining facility and talk about the good life they all live. We are merely fodder for there cannons. We have become a Nation divided and war is an everyday event. Having a simple conversation with a neighbor or family member is becoming stressful as you try to steer the conversation to anything but the war. A simple shared meal has become a tense occasion where you hope everyone leaves with joy and a smile, however, stress is still just under the surface, as each of us has an opinion but are reluctant to express it. How will this war end? I don't know. This war will leave many casualties and wounded along the way.
I want my grandchildren to know that I lived during this perilous time, I have no idea how this will end or if it will end, but that I do recognize where we are and the seriousness of it all. Where it all ends is up to all of us. The old adage is "May God help us", means so much more today than ever before.
