Several years ago. no, wait, just remember, I, Love sports, American sports. Football, Basketball, and Baseball. So now Keep that in mind. Several years ago, no, many years ago my oldest son Jeremy comes home from school, I don't know, maybe 3rd, or 4th grade and says, "Dad, I want to play Soccer". Really? "Son I know nothing about Soccer". "Dad, thats what I want to play". Funny how things change and yet some things continue on. So now, Jeremy is the Dad, and the little guy comes in and says "Dad, I want to play Lacrosse". "Really? Son I know nothing about Lacrosse". "Dad, thats what I want to play". Jeremy knows nothing about Lacrosse and neither do I, Is there a league for this game and how old do you have to be? Turns out that yes there is a league and kindergarden is the starting age. So, where does this idea of Lacrosse come from, a little girl in his class plays. I can't believe it, He's only 5 and the girls are starting to influence him already. So, first practice, I got to go see this. So, after practice, what do I think? Well it's kinda like hockey but you get to carry this stick you can hit people with. Thus you will notice helmets, gloves, elbow pads and of course shoulder pads, mouth piece and a Cup, not a coffee cup but a cup to protect the jewels. First game was sat., can't wait to see how they play this game. The kids in his league and on his team are Kinder garden to 3rd grade. Got to tell ya, there's a big difference from k to 3, some how no one told Carsten there was a difference, didn't matter, remember, he's got a stick. Oh yea, the stick, seems as though you can't hit the other guy in the head with the stick. Just ask Carsten, whistle blows and Carsten is explaind the rule about hitting the other guy in the head. Hey, when you are the smallest that stick will equal things out. Here's something else I found out. Bible memory verse from school. Lacrosse version. "do unto others as they do unto you". Seems as though Mom didn't think that was ok, Me, I thought it was fitting. As you see in the picture below, a Lacrosse Warrior, with a stck.
