falseification of documents

Falsification, exaggeration, or what ever you want to call it. In our lives we all, except for a very few find ourselves in a place where we are not exactly honest. In our lives we all find ourselves in a place where we need to fill out some kind of document or form, whether it be an application, legal form, or survey. These documents can be for a local institutions, State, or Federal agency's. As I look back at my own life there is one situation I remember well. I'm not sure it was a falsification but it was definitely an exaggeration. It was an application for a new position or job with the Dept. of Defense where I worked. I really wanted the job so I hired a professional to write the application. I truthfully gave the writer all the correct data and then let him work his magic as a wordsmith. After receiving his final copy I was amazzzzzed. Could this possibly be me? Long story short, I got the job. So, whether it be falsification (which is knowing it's a lie) or, exaggeration, at some point we need to confess or rectify.
I have found myself once again facing a claim of wishful exaggeration on a Federal and State Document. The documents are vital to the State and Federal government. Passports and drivers licences are essential documents of Government and accuracy and truthfulness are essential. If you notice on both of these documents date of birth and other descriptive categories characteristics are required. For years I have noted that my weight is 240 lb. To be truthful that was a wishful answer. However today I have to acknowledge that 240 is not a truthful answer. Today, I am now blow that #. So tomorrow I must go to the DMV and correct a falsification on my Drivers Lic. and then there's a matter of my Passport. Because I am a law abiding legal citizen of the US I ;must make corrections to these matters.
