its been awhile, Sorry

Because its been so long since the last post, I have a lot to say. Unfortunately no pictures. However next post will be full of pictures. What has happened. Well, no excuses but Utah was a lot more work this past season then last year. The great state of Utah hired me (min. wage) to maintain the peremeter trail on the other side of the lake. Tough job. I would get up in the morning, climb on a new 4 wheel drive Polaris Ranger equiped with a chemical spray tank and head to the other side of the lake. Far away from people, dogs, and of course Management. This job was really only for 20 hrs a week, so that left me with another 20 hrs. to go. Then on saturdays it was maintain order and civility on the boat ramp and parking lot. Thursdays were devoted to cleaning up the beach for the weekend and mowing the grass at the events center. To tell you the truth this didn't feel like retirement. Not one day of fishing, not one day of golf, and, not one day to take the kayak out. This will not happen again. Ok, enough of the whining. I really had a great time, and made a little (emphases on little) money. Strange how when you feel like you might make a little extra money to play with, something comes along to say "wait a second, that money is for this". It seems as though the house in Calif. needs a fence replaced. Ok, back to square #1. I did however enjoy being on the trail. Ok, here's a good one. The motorhome story. Just 4 miles from our summer home in Utah, out of nowhere on flat ground, just leaving the city of Heber, the motorhome engine goes to idle. What happened?, uhoh, the engine has shut down to a safety position due to overheating. Jumped out of the coach and coolant is flowing to the ground at the front of the coach. I have a diesel pusher, which means the motor is in the back. We found a fitting that supplies heat to the driver had failed. Ok, we fix it, replace the fluid and finish to the camp site, all is well, wheeee. welllll, not so fast, It seems as we fixed a sympton, not the cause. To shorten the story up a little, the serpintne belt is missing, why is it missing you say, because the a/c compressor froze, thats why. I love the internet, cause without it I might still be in Utah. Finding the compressor was no small task, but we did find one in Kansas City, shipped it in, got it installed and just in time to reach Arizona and its 100 + temp., yeah but its a dry heat. well thats enough for now. I don't believe in make a blog entry so long that I get tired of thinking. There is much more to say, maybe tomorrow.   See ya
