Well, here it is, the 17th of March and it's almost time to pack up and leave. The Gypsy and I have been here since the middle of Oct. The Starship has been parked in one spot for a long time, roots are starting to develop under the tires but there is serious heat in the forecast. April is when this place starts to heat up, and up and up, and the captain and his Gypsy are just not into that. Overall this stop has been great, as usual. Old friends, new friends and new activities. Didn't spend nearly enough time in the woodshop this year, however I did spend a lot more time Lawn Bowling. According to my program chairman (aka The Gypsy) the next 2 weeks are packed with parties and meals, starting tonight with a Cornbeef and Cabbage Irish dinner, hang on this one could get wild (we have a couple of friends that are heavy into their Irish connections).
A really big milestone is also coming in just a couple of weeks. You see, when the Gypsy and I started this adventure it was planned for a 2 year tour then return to a somewhat normal life in a home without wheels. In just a couple of weeks it will have been 4 years. I don't know what happened, I think we just kind of got caught up in this. This BLOG is 4 years in the making, and when it turns 4 I am going to have this BLOG put into book form. There is a company that will publish the whole blog in hard back and send it to me. 4 years is a long time when your 65 and I may need it in book form to remember it all. I started looking back at some of the photos I have taken over the last 4 years and was amaaaazed at it all. Been using the same old Kodak camera since the beginning, a pretty inexpensive, basic camera compared to whats on the market and what my friends and family use, but it's a great camera. I've wanted to start posting key photos from the past, but what a job, but I'm going to give it a shot. I'll post a few now and more in the days to come.
So from the Gypsy and The Captain, SEE YA
