Are you ok? Where are you?

Ok, so I've been a little negligent in my posting. Ok, so, maybe a little more then just negligent. When some one calls and ask "are you ok?" then that's a pretty good sign of something. Normally the impluse to write comes without a thought, it just starts flowing. Lately, so much has been happening that I just forget to sitdown and write. Now, there is so much to write about that I just don't know where to start. So, in no particular order of events lets start with today.
As you may know, when we're here in Utah, one of my duties is to maintain the peremeter  trail around the lake. This trail is about 14 miles long. The only people who get to see this trail is hikers, horseback riders and mountain bike riders. Most of the people in the park do none of these. So, I went to management and arranged a "ATV Perimeter trail Orientation ride".The ride was designed to educate camp workers and staff on what the trail was like so they could let others know about another camp activities available for them. That was the official reason for the atv ride. The real reason, just a fun ride on a trail that hardly anyone gets to see.

ok, that was today. Now, last week. The Gypsy and I were in need of a short vacation. I know, some of you think we live on a vacation, but once in awhile you need a vacation from your vacation. So the BIG plan was to take a road trip and visit friends. The trip was to go thru Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and northern Calif, and back to Utah. So, a few days before we plan to take off I decide maybe we should map out this trip. Shock, just under 3 thousand miles to visit 5 friends, and I've got 9 days. Ok, this is not going to be a vacation. Modifications and apologies are now in order to get back to a vacation. So, 9 days, 2 friends (1 being family) and just over 2 thousand miles.

So, enough for today, I do solemly swear not to take so long to write another post, so help me God.

The Captain and his Gypsy
