The West Side

Woke up this morning to the sounds and smells of lead in the air. It seems that today here at the shooting park there is a rather large competition for TRAP shooters. Shotguns firing and the smell of gun powder fills the air. What to do. Well, the other day we went east of Las Vegas to Lake Mead, today we will head west. West to a little town named Pahrump. On the way to Pahrump on hwy 160 we come across "Red Rock Canyon". Ok, lets wander in there and see if my old man National Parks pass will let me in for Freee. It does, it does, it does. Another benifit of living this long. What a great place. It's really a place for hiking and we just weren't prepared to do that, so we drove the senic ride. Now getting into Pahrump we noticed a small winery. Now some of you may know that I have a tendancy to wander into just about any vinyard, and a vinyard in Nevada is a rarity. What a nice stop, and the people were really friendly. Had lunch, tasted a little wine, and headed for the Starship. Tomorrow we disconnect and head for Zion. There will be much more to come on that stop. So, SEE YA
