Just another desert weekend. The temp. is mid 70's and clear. Visitors for the weekend, Ron and Ruthie came to spend a long weekend. However they had to leave on Monday morning, cause they are part of the people who are still working for the man. The weekend was full of action though. The Desert Batonical Gardens (that means cactus, and lots of them), visits with old friends, Organ Pipe Pizza, Tonto National Monument (indian cliff dwellings), Tortilla Flats and the road to get there (a small town or tourist trap located on the Apache Trail), and Fillies (a real country bar and cafe), Fillies was probably the highlight. This country bar and restraunt is so country that they still ride in on horses and tie them to a hitchin rail out back. Now the cowboys and cowgirls are either real or they sure look real. Right down to the stuff on the bottom of their boots, and then to top it off, a band, and its open mike night. For you kar-e-oke people you know what that means, The Good, The BAD, and the Ugly. The meal was terrible, but the sights and sounds, PRICELESS. The photos are from the cactus gardens and the indian dwellings. SEE YA
