Observations and thoughts

Well, I went for a long time without posting any thing on the Blog and now that I'm on the road it seems as thought I have plenty to post. Maybe its because I am seeing new things everyday instead of just staring at a beautiful tranquil lake, and then maybe its because I'm getting no tv reciption here. Anyway, back to Observations and thoughts. Today the Gypsy and I took a ride south to Preston Idaho. Great ride through mostly farm lands, in fact when you go through town and you notice several farm implement dealers and no auto dealers you realize whats important in this area. When the Gypsy and I started this adventure our goal was to see small town America. Since entering Idaho we have veered off to the small towns. In fact todays big town was population 5000. Riding through Preston we did notice a trafic jam however, it was at a fast food place, 5 cars in line, and no one was honking there horn, except one and that was to say howdy to one of the girls inside making tacos. These little towns also give you a sense of security, I mean, ain't no terriorist going to hit here, cause there ain't nothing here to terriorize, and if they did I can guarentee you everyone here has a gun or two in the house and in the truck. Also, looking around it seems everyone has a garden and a cow or two grazing in the back. If the grocery stores go on strike, ain't no big deal. Its obvious looking around that small town America is self sufficient, they don't need anybody and if they do, you can count on the neighbors. You can also see that farming is a lot of work but they do seem to have time for toys, not only for themselves but for the kids to. A new toy here though is a new four wheeler for hunting and if its not being used for hunting the kids have it, in fact today we say a little guy maybe 5 taking his little sister who must have been at least 2 for a ride down a dirt road. You see in a small town there's just not much use for a gameboy or a WII. I see there trying to promote the wii as an exercise plan, I guess that may be ok for the big city, just not here.

Well, I've rambled her for a little to long so, SEE YA
